TGA Viewer and ConverterTGA Viewer and Converter is a freeware (with no expiration or nags) TGA/PCX previewer to enable you to easily manage and convert those Doom 3 and Quake 4 (or other id software engined games) screenshot collections.But I already have Paint Shop Pro/Photoshop/ACDSee/IrfanView, why do I need this ? Because TGA Viewer does one thing, and it does it very well, it emulates the JPG/GIF/BMP Image Previewer as found in Windows XP by displaying TGA (and for legacy games, PCX) files, when you click on them. Ok, But a viewer isn't really that useful is it? What else does it do ? It can batch convert the TGA/PCX files to JPEG files, at a compression ratio you specify, ready for you to share with your friends. Right, Well I'm still reading this, so I must be interested. What does it look like ? It looks just like the Windows XP Image Previewer, so you should already be familiar with it. Here is a screenshot of it showing a Doom 3 TGA screenshot taken from in game. It Looks Really Simple. How do I run it? It integrates into Windows (don't worry it can be de-installed if you don't like it), all you have to do is right click on one or many TGA or PCX files, an example of this can be seen here. C:\Program Files\TGAViewer is recommended. 3. In that folder double click on TGAView.exe and follow the instructions.
