Correct Horse Battery Staple Doesn’t Work

Or, to be more exact, 'Correct Battery Horse Staple' doesn't work for me.

I'm a very literal person. Abstract concepts take a while for me to absorb (however, I can be totally irreverent at the most inappropriate of times).

Let me explain… The infamous XKCD comic #936 describes a way of creating easy-to-remember passphrases based on a set of random words. The words shown are, in order:

These four words are cited in almost every comment thread discussing passwords and passphrases. It's as predictable that someone will say it and link to the comic in the same way that on a thread about something revelatory, someone will also invariably say, 'This is the way…' (we get it; you've watched The Mandalorian, good for you. That one is a rant for another day!).

However, the last panel of the comic is this:

Now, my problem here is that the words in this panel are in a totally different order.

To my literal brain, I see the following:

Which as words is:

And this is what I lodged in my brain when the comic first came out, so to me, everyone else is wrong.

On the upside, the order that I remember it means it's less likely to be in all those password lists that nefarious ne'er-do-wells use to gain access to places they shouldn't.
